How the weekly drop works in CS2
Updated: 2026-07-17
The weekly drop in CS2 is granted for your first profile level-up of the week: you earn XP in matches, level up, and pick a reward from the weekly care package. The counter resets once a week (Tuesday night, Valve time), after which a reward can be earned again.
For a farm this means one thing: every account has to actually play its XP by hand. FarmPanel does not grind XP for you — it launches, isolates and monitors accounts so a human can get through more of them.
Where does drop XP come from?
XP is awarded in the normal game modes. Different modes pay at different rates — all that matters is reaching the first level-up of the week.
- Competitive and Premier — XP per rounds and wins.
- Deathmatch and casual modes — XP from match score.
- Weekly XP bonuses accelerate the first level-up.
What can the weekly care package contain?
The care package offers a choice between several rewards: skins from the active collections and, sometimes, cases. Valve decides the reward pool and changes it periodically, so the 'value' of a drop varies week to week.
What does this mean for an account farm?
Every Prime account can earn its own weekly drop — but only if a human actually plays the required XP on it. That is why farm scale is limited by player time and operational busywork: launching clients, watching matches, restarting crashes.
FarmPanel removes that busywork: all accounts launch from one panel, every match's status is visible live, and crashed clients recover on their own. The playing is still yours.
Frequently asked questions
When does the CS2 weekly drop reset?
Once a week, on Tuesday night US Pacific time (Wednesday in most of the world). After the reset, the first level-up again grants a care package choice.
Do non-Prime accounts get the weekly drop?
No. Weekly level-up rewards are only available to accounts with Prime status. See our guide on Prime accounts for farming.
